Dr. Aref was born and raised in Damascus, Syria.  Came to the United States when he was 18 years old. He earned his degrees in mechanical engineering and Doctor of Dental Surgery from West Virginia University.  Dr. Aref is an active member of the American Dental Association, and he is committed to the latest professional development by attending continuous education classes to stay updated on the latest improvements in dental technology and techniques.

He wanted to become a dentist because he saw a chance to help people improve their quality of life. Dr. Aref is passionate about swimming and playing ping-pong, and he likes to travel and experience new cultures and foods.
